Auerhahn is a place in itself. Between origin and projection. Relaxed obstinacy and first-class cuisine. Between the Black Forest and Schluchsee. There it is, built close to the water, in the middle of the landscape. A hotel full of myths, charged with emotions, with history. A hotel like the region in which it stands.
The call for change
It starts with a construction site. And a man like Marius. And the vision of the proven in a new style. It starts in the Black Forest, on the shores of Schluchsee. It ends when the first guests come to visit. Or is that when it all begins?
Past, present and future. In the Black Forest.
The person who shapes the house the most is Marius. He wants to change a lot. He wants to make many things new. Many things he likes to see in a different color or form.
In 1993 his grandparents opened the Auerhahn. And in the meantime leased it out. Now it is back in the hands of the Tröndle family and just now the reconstruction of the hotel is in full swing.
In the meantime, a little taste:
64 rooms between Black Forest Baroque and modernity. Two restaurants. One more dinner for gourmets, the other more for the small pleasure in between, in the brasserie at the tiled stove. Both regional, honest, full of ideas. Both a center for culinary highlights.
Also new, the sauna area in minimalist style and the in-house winter garden with bar.
This is how it will soon be possible to live, in the Black Forest Modern. In the Auerhahn.
