It started with a building site. With a place full of possibilities. And with Marius. Who had the vision of bringing the tried and tested and traditional into a modern, contemporary form. Without losing respect for the original. Thus began a journey in the Black Forest, on the shores of the Schluchsee. In which a fusion of history and innovation becomes reality.

The Auerhahn has a long history that has been shaped by generations. The person who has shaped it the most today is Marius. He has changed many things, rethought many things. Since his grandparents opened the Auerhahn in 1993 and leased it out in the meantime, it is now back in the hands of the Tröndle family. Today, 58 rooms await you - a mix of Black Forest baroque and modern.
Two inviting restaurants: One for a gourmet dinner, the other for a little treat in between. Both regional, authentic and full of ideas, both a center for culinary highlights. A stylish bar invites you to linger and discover high-quality drinks - characterized by innovation, taste and tradition. The spacious wellness area with saunas and pool offers pure relaxation, whether on rainy days or after an active day in the great outdoors.
